About J&M Machine, Inc.

A Brief History

Established in 1966, with only a handful of machines and a family's desire to be more than the stereotypical job shop, J&M Machine was founded. Since that time, J&M has firmly established itself as a model shop leader for manufacturing development, process, and quality control of precision turned parts.

Over the years, we have added the most up-to-date machines and equipment to attain a complete CNC primary department, and are also looking to convert our secondary department to CNC's. With bar capacity of 1/4" to 4 1/2", chuck work of 12" diameter by 36" length, and the capability of holding tolerances to +/- .0002, we can handle most any type of work. In addition, our sophisticated Quality Control Department ensures that absolute top quality and performance is accomplished at all times. Some of the parts manufactured at our facility include those used in aircraft, torpedoes, fuel pumps, and smoldering guns to burner systems. We also manufacture such items as retention knobs, specialized washers, brake parts for aircraft, navy nuclear, and assemblies for the machine tool industry.

Our ultra modern facility was constructed in 1991 with the foresight and capabilities to provide for the continued growth of J&M in equipment, resources, and square footage. It is engineered to allow the interfacing of a computerized process environment, which will assist us in our plans to become a truly paperless manufacturing plant. Our computer technologies allow for traceability of the manufacturing processes on a real-time basis. Utilizing our advanced scheduling system, we can determine production flow and calculate process time to the minute. By artificially changing selected variables in the schedule, we can determine the necessary requirements to accommodate customer demands, and see the effects of change on a schedule before it happens.

In order to stay technologically ahead in this field, J&M continues to enhance and refine its technology, quality, and production methods through research, education, and advanced equipment. With the combination of our skilled, "team oriented" craftspeople, J&M's state-of-the-art equipment, and futuristic innovativeness, our common goals of customer satisfaction and being the "next generation" manufacturing company, can be accomplished.

We realize that in order to be competitive in today's market, we must be better than the next guy, and to be a top-of-the-line manufacturer, we must be better than the best. With this in mind, we provide purpose to our mission and reason to our achievements.
